I went to a emerging filmakers forum recently and a director talked about how making the movie that you have had stuck in your head for ages, is kind of like having an enema. When it is gone you are finally free to explore new ideas. I have had a film idea stuck in my head for almost two years now and I am desperate to get it out. It is called Closet Harry and has gone through so many transformations that I'm not even sure what the premise is anymore. My main character Jim has had every job on the planet including accountant, advertisment designer, film student and checkout operator. He has also been single, attacted, gay, straight and for a brief period a woman. He was also called Gordan for a while. I have decided to make a resolution to make this movie in time for the Kodak film student competition on the 31st of December. I think a deadline is the only way that I am ever going to make any sort of decision. So here is how it stands currently:

Jim is a Bartender. He hates his job but is too lazy to leave it for something harder. He has a girlfriend called Darcy. He also lives with two guys who are always getting him in trouble and doing strange things in the house. Jim calls them The Misspent Youth.

Yeah I have a setting and a basic storyline which I will not write down here, but at least I've started!
