I have now offically passed my first semester of Uni! I even managed to get a credit for Art and Cultural Production (otherwise known as the worst subject in the world!) And good marks in all my other subjects.
Also I have managed to survive my first week of classes, and to celebrate eaten my first lot of free sausages for the semester! Most of exciting part of those classes was my sound, light and motion workshop where I got to play with actually film cameras. Yes FILM cameras, not VIDEO. Actually film that comes on a roll, and can't be exposed to too much light, and has to be sent off to be processed. I'm not sure if non-film students will understand how exciting this is, but trust me, it is VERY exciting! They look just like the ones you see people carrying around in really old movies too, which is probablly because they were made back when those movies were being made, but they are still good. And they aren't electric which means to make them work you actually have to wind them up like an old watch, which is kind of funny, but also means they are really delicate. Straight after our lecturer told us this, he dropped one on the ground and looked very scared. So I'm all excited about shooting on black and white film, with no sound. Yeah!
Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to Grace
Happy Birthday to You!
