Finsihed filming my Folio 2 project on Monday which was very fun and I hopefully will have photos very soon to post. Anyway almost managed to lose everything I own. The last seen of my film involves putting nearly everhting I own on my front porch with a free stuff sign on it. That is all well and good when I am there to watch it with the camera. When I take the camera inside how ever and my friend remember she quickly wants to do a shot in my bedroom, it is amazing how one can forget that every thing they own is currently waiting for someone to walk by a gratefully take it. Did happen to remember a few minutes lateer in time to save it however. In my defense it wasn't just me who forgot but three other people as well. Anyway have to go as my internet time is up.

I finally brought my Lonely Planet guide to The USA and Canada on a shoestring and have started planing me and Courtney's trip. So far I have only decided that i want to go to Homer in Alaska, which is a very bohemian artist place, which I love the sound of. Bears, beaches, mountains and hippys!!! I also have to go the Observatory where they shot 'Rebel with out a Cause' and I may have to buy a red jacket for the occasion.

Yeah I finally showed my folio one for Sound Light and Motion today, which consisted of a continuity piece that was shot in about an hour and took five minutes to edit, and was basically a guy walking past and picking up a tape measure; (very exciting) and a montage with lots of freaky eyes and transistions and things. I think I went ok. Rohan said my sound was very good so that was great because I thought it was the worst thing about it. And also I think I did the right thing by concentrating on the graphic relations instead of using a whole heap of special effects, so also good.
Am so stuffed right now due to work, huge unstarted media essay due on monday and a certain call at two in the morning from some friends... Not that it wasn't lovely to hear from them but maybe at a better hour next time. Anyway going to go home now and trying and figure out what my media class is actually about by doing the readings.

Hey well I am so stuffed. I worked last night and Crusts and it was one of their busiest nights ever. I was meant to finish at nine but was still there until eleven! We did break the record for most deliverys in one night though with 240. That is deliverys by the way, not pizzas. There were many, many more pizzas; and some how we managed for there to be no mistakes all night! Not looking forward to the grand final however...
Anyway much more excitingly I got to see Vikki this morning for about an hour and do a tiny bit of catching up. It was so nice, even though it meant I had to get up at five, after getting to bed at twelve, only having had six hours sleep the night before, which for anyone whos knows me well know that that is not enough for me by far. I need at least nine hours sleep a night to funtion properly. Was very worth it though.
I am now at school trying to finish my montage that is due on monday, but I think it may require an early monday morning and monday afternoon job. Too many things going wrong. There is not nearly enough time in this class.
Hopefully tomorrow I am going to go check out the set of a low budget horror, that a guy I went to film school with is making called The Banshee. I am also working tonight and tomorrow night.
Hmmmmm I might have time to sleep on wednesday... Maybe I can do some washing and shopping then too. I need a maid.

I have a new found respect for sound recorders. Last Sound Light and Motion class was quite fun; wearing massive headphones, holding a mic and a DAT machine, for some reason felt as cool as holding a camera. You stand there fiddling with dials and looking like you know what you are doing, and even better actually having some small idea what you are doing. It was one of those moments where you feel like a total proffesional. Very cool. Anyway don't really have much to say apart from my final project is coming up and I still can't decide what to do!!!! My folio one is due next week too and I am quite happy with the continuality stuff, it is very film noir. We have this really cool shot of a hand shadow reaching across the wall. Love it!
Just want to add a final note that Vikki is coming back on Saturday and it will be lovely to have her back in the country and I look forward to many phone conversations and to seeing her at christmas. Love your stuff Vik!!!

Just thought I would do a post for the sake of it. I started my job at Crust which is OK. I am basically a shit kicker who runs around filling up the toppings and making the odd salad. Though last night I started learning how to use the cash register, which I find quite funny seeing I have been using them for about four years. They tell me eventually I will learn how to make pizzas, another concept I find quite funny as I'm sure it is not that hard, seeing I made one in my interview. The good thing about the job is lots of hours, in fact I am working five nights this week as well as five hours at Angus and Robertson, so money, money, money!!! I also get paid every Sunday for Crust and every Thursday for Angus and Robertson so I basically get paid every three to four days which is good! Anyway love you and leave you, I have to go to Sound Light and Motion and learn how to use a sound recorder!!!

Recently I applied for my first job ever on a film. It is a low budget horror called "The Banshee" and they needed a runner. I heard about it though a guy from film school who is the producer and emailed me because he found my name on a contact sheet. I didn't get it unfortunatly, because they wanted someone with a car, but he has said I can come check out the set if I want. I am carefully excited about this as I think it might be a quite proffesional shoot. And maybe I will set my self up for potential future jobs.
I did however manage to get myself a job as a pizzamaker at Crusts Gormet Pizza Bar. Yum yum yum.
